Data collected & why

Username, email, password:

• Create an account where your progress is stored
• Access your account in the future on, for example, a new device
• Prevent others from accessing your account

Location (GPS coordinates):

• Show your location on the map
• Record the location of a bird log

Time:

• Record the time a bird log was created

Bird species:

• Record what species a bird log represents

How your data is used

Magpie uses your data for a single purpose: enabling the functionality of the app. It is not shared with any other parties. I do not and will never sell personal information/data.

Future:

In the future, I intend to donate anonymized bird log data to conservation partners, exclusively for conservation use. I will update this privacy policy with more specifics when that happens.
