Hi, I’m Matteo Alampi and I’m the developer! I built the first version back in 2022, worked on it intermittently from 2023-25, then started developing full steam ahead in fall 2025.

In college, I took a variety of coding classes in college and have since taught myself how to write code in Swift (which is what I use for Magpie).

Professionally, I’m a software product manager with a heavy design slant, although I’m focused primarily on Magpie right now.

In my personal life, I spend a ton of time birding with my wife (we have a combined 50k+ logs on Magpie 😎), as well as with the Feminist Bird Club of Madison.
